 < 35

The exhibition “< 35” presents nine talented Lithuanian artists, who create in various media and forms, each paving their own creative ways. However, there is one commonality between them all – they are artists under the age of 35. According to the usual age categories, they are attributable to the young Lithuanian art creators generation. These artists were selected by a commission, formed of notable participants of the Lithuanian cultural field, also attributable to this young generation.

It is often noticed that it is harder for people from different generations to understand each other. Different experiences, various baggage forms a more or less specific approach in each generation, and only through that approach other generations are viewed upon. Nevertheless, the young turn to look at the older, and the older is interested in the young. This time, an introspection of the young generation is happening. However, this introspection is also an exposure.

At the exhibition opening there will be a sound performance by Simonas Nekrošius
