“This is a project about the borderline state between dream and reality.  The Hyundai train, that leaves at 5 am. Everything in the project was pictured during several trips from Odesa to Kyiv.  I’m not a fan of allegories, I portrayed what I saw in the window with maximum accuracy.”

Ievgen Petrov

Odesa-Kyiv Express is a project, that demonstrates the blurring of the boarders between Petrov’s reality and illusion. The hidden criticism of the society continues in his works.

Ievgen Petrov is a romantic and an intellectual, so it is sometimes difficult to understand whether he feels sorry for the heroes or mocks them.

In this project, the author implies new effects, reproducing the view from the train’s window. The rainwater on the glass reflects the lights, creates distorted proportions and new scenes.
